Cyberbullying legislation: The role of cyberbullying law

Faced with the increasing number of cases cyberbullying and its consequences, states are trying to find best way sanctioning. The latest tragic event, in which a young man from Republika Srpska committed suicide because he was mocked on one social networks, has triggered public debate whether is adequately sanctioned our country. Based individual countries sanction cyberbullying, we can divide them into two groups. first group includes those that through application existing criminal offenses (insult, defamation, persecution, unauthorised filming, hate speech). second refers where been treated as special offense. aim this paper make suggestions for possible changes, based an analysis legislation country well some European countries, order protect victims more effectively. In paper, authors have used normative-legal method legal regulations including comparative presentation regulation other countries. On grounds conducted, there conclusion protection against digital violence does not provide adequate remedies cyberbullying.
